What you do at STEMconnector: I joined STEMconnector with more than 20 years of experience in the private and nonprofit sectors, working to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality public education. As Senior Director, Client Services, I leverage my expertise as an executive-level development professional and knowledge of the K-12 education system to maximize the value of membership for our members by aligning their business and social impact goals to our offerings. I am committed to delivering highest-quality customer service and work tirelessly to meet our members’ needs.
What you were doing before STEMconnector: Prior to joining STEMconnector, I founded and served as president of The Etten Group, a fundraising strategy and implementation consulting organization, supporting some of the highest-performing and most successful education nonprofits, including: 100Kin10, the Aspen Institute Education & Society Program, Illustrative Mathematics, Relay Graduate School of Education, Stand for Children and Student Achievement Partners.
Previous to The Etten Group, I served as Director of Development for TNTP, a national nonprofit organization committed to ensuring effective teaching in every classroom. In that role, I was responsible for designing a development strategy and building a development department for the organization; I raised more than $100 million and $20 million in grants from national foundations, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Noyce Foundation, and the federal government, respectively during my tenure.
Through this work and my early career experiences in finance, government and the nonprofit sectors, I came to understand the challenges inherent in STEM education and the difficulties associated with building a diverse, high-performing STEM talent ecosystem. I am passionate about public education, equity and inclusion, and creating the STEM-ready workforce of tomorrow.
