Matt Burlingham is responsible for new client acquisition and account expansion across multiple industry segments. Matt engages leaders across public and private sectors who collectively are re-envisioning the workforce and identifying strategies to increase the number of STEM-ready workers in the global talent pool.
Before joining STEMconnector, Matt spent several years at Hanover Research, a global market research company, where he supported the development of their international higher education function before helping to build an industry-leading custom research practice serving K-12 school districts and state education agencies. His experience working with executive leadership at public and private schools provided Matt with a deep understanding of the ways K-12 and postsecondary institutions seek to develop a future-ready workforce. After 2,000+ meetings with K-12 education leaders and participation at national conferences, Matt’s found that the priorities discussed most frequently focus on preparing students for life and careers in a technology-driven, global economy.
Matt grew up in Boston where both of his parents work in education administration. After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Matt moved to Washington D.C., and currently lives in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, with his girlfriend, Grace, and a spoiled golden retriever named Ella. Outside of STEMconnector, Matt fosters rescue dogs and pursues fitness fads inspired by effective marketing and compelling social media campaigns.
