Yvonne Thomas has been working at the intersection of the nonprofit sector and the corporate world for over 20 years. Currently, Yvonne leads the Digital Skills portfolio of investments, programs and partnerships for Microsoft Philanthropies. By building partnerships with nonprofit organizations, governments, educators, and businesses, Microsoft works to increase equitable access to economic opportunity for youth in 60 countries through digital skills and computer science education. Through work that includes building the capacity of teachers, trainers and nonprofit organizations; inspiring young people to pursue a career enabled by technology; and driving long-term, systemic, change, Microsoft is helping preparing youth for success in an increasingly digital world. Yvonne has held a variety of roles across the philanthropic work of Microsoft. She currently serves on the advisory board of Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE), a World Bank multi-stakeholder coalition to improve youth access to work opportunities globally. Yvonne joined Microsoft from the nonprofit sector, where her focus was on youth development. A Northwest native, Yvonne is a graduate of Washington State University.
