STEMconnector Webinar- Measuring What Matters: Goal-Setting & Progress in STEM Education & Workforce Development
How do we know if STEM investments are truly making an impact?
We were delighted to host an inspiring discussion featuring voices of Jacqueline Berry from 3M, Potoula Stavropoulos of Regeneron, and Alex Servello from Verizon who shared how they are raising the bar for corporate social responsibility (CSR), embedding measurement into their strategies, and aligning investments with both business needs and community impact:
- Regeneron has already surpassed its 2025 goal of reaching 2.5M students and is now setting new 2030 goals.
- 3M is closing skills gaps through scholarships and hands-on programs, on track to exceed 5M learning experiences by 2025.
- Verizon has reached 8.9M youth through Innovative Learning, advancing digital inclusion in nearly 700 Title I schools.
The conversation also explored the future of measurement—leveraging AI and digital tools, strengthening cross-sector partnerships, and ensuring equity remains at the center. While challenges remain, one message was clear: measuring what truly matters is essential to building lasting change in STEM education and workforce development.
