In 2016, the Chaplin School has been designated as a Citi Foundation Community Progress Maker partner, with a grant of $ 500,000 to develop programming to support food entrepreneurship and innovation. In conjunction with StartUP FIU, the Chaplin School is now an incubator for food-based products and companies. The school partners with students, faculty and early-stage food entrepreneurs in South Florida to foster new startups, fast track early –stage companies, and bring ground-breaking technologies to market.
