Mentored Pathways has guided students on their paths to successful careers for over 22 years. Through flexible, convenient, virtual communication, Mentored Pathways supports students to tackle real industry problems and create and execute competitive plans for their futures. To date, over 3,000 Mentored Pathways mentors have helped nearly 48,000 students throughout 11 countries to engage in authentic STEM work and pursue meaningful careers. Students are supported one-to-one by industry professionals every step of the way to develop three critical career assets: portfolios of work, career & education plans, and professional networks.
Mentored Pathways welcomes 200+ mentors for students at Prairie View High School (Henderson, Colorado) who will be working on Career and Education Planning projects. Two bio-med career projects begin November 28th. The third is an engineering career project that begins on January 9th. Mentors can participate from anywhere they have a connection to the Internet. Mentors post two messages a week for their student. All of the mentoring occurs virtually. Mentors never have to leave the office and the program works with their busy schedules.
Taylor, one of the students waiting for a mentor, writes: My interests for the future are to go into medicine, preferably a surgeon or a surgeon assistant. I am interested in this project because I, as a high school student want to achieve academic excellence and explore the career of my dreams and maybe even learn about new career choices that suit me. It really means a great deal to me that someone would take their own time to help me with my future and I would like to thank my mentor for his/her time to support me. I will be looking forward to communicating at least twice a week with my mentor throughout the project.
