3 Kansas students win WSU’s Klose Scholarship in math, science education (The Wichita Eagle)

Three Kansas high school seniors who plan to become math or science teachers have been awarded the Klose Scholarship from Wichita State University’s College of Education.

The recipients are Callie Lemon, McPherson High School; Matthew Miller, Blue Valley North High School; and Marina Pebley, Basehor-Linwood High School.

Each student will receive up to $33,000 in merit and Klose scholarships at WSU over the course of their four-year academic programs.

The Klose Scholarship is the result of a $7.5 million gift to fund undergraduate scholarships in math and science education from the estate of WSU alumni Doris and Ralph Klose.
