When: May 2, 2019
Where: United States Institute of Peace in Washington, DC
2301 Constitution Ave NW, Washington, DC 20037
Who is able to attend: STEMconnector Members

Businesses recognize the importance of building a diverse and sustainable STEM workforce, but too often have a difficult time linking business value and social impact. This diminishes return on investment and return on efforts. STEMconnector’s new signature research piece, “From Input to Impact: A Framework for Measuring Success Across the STEM Talent Ecosystem” will build on our “State of STEM” report, which examined the nuanced gaps in STEM talent, to define our approach to measuring progress in addressing those gaps – both from a business and social impact perspective. The 2019 STEMconnector Summit will bring together industry, postsecondary, and nonprofit leaders for a day of engagement with this research and will provide clarity on the success of STEM talent strategy investments across sectors.

Through interactive presentations and panels, this Summit will provide attendees with a framework to define success and evaluate the efficacy of their investments in building a sustainable STEM talent pipeline. By the end of the day, participants will leave energized to make changes in their communities with new frameworks and ideas to take back to their own organizations, and with new and strengthened relationships forged.

On Wednesday, May 1st, a pre-summit reception will be hosted by the National Geographic Society from 6 pm to 8 pm.
1600 M St NW, Washington, DC 20036, USA
Everyone attending the summit is welcome.
