Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in STEM: 2023
As a result of a global pandemic, nationwide social justice demonstrations, and global economic crisis, many organizational leaders seized the moment to consider their roles and opportunities to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in their organizations. Although these expenditures have altered the current state of DEIA in the workforce, many organizations continue to struggle to produce effective DEIA strategies.
At STEMconnector, we are excited about our newest research report, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in STEM: 2023. Building off of STEMconnector’s The State of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in STEM (2021), this updated report details recent struggles for sustainable DEIA strategies, illustrates DEIA challenges in STEM for K-12, postsecondary, and employment, provides resources for organizations to reference, and offers six research-based strategies for organizations looking to develop solutions to the diverse STEM talent crisis.
Researchers analyzed literature from over 100 sources and collected insights from over 20 DEIA subject matter experts across various STEM sectors.
WATCH our recent webinar where webinar attendees received an in-depth look into the STEM ecosystem and came away with an understanding of how to leverage the report to cultivate an environment where everyone, regardless of background, feels confident that they belong in STEM.
