NASA and STEMconnector join forces for a new project -

NASA’s Day of Design: Shooting Stars

We have collaborated with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration to create a Day of Design program bringing the exciting world of #STEM at NASA to students of all ages. Day of Design helps inform students of future STEM careers by connecting them to STEM professionals, real- world challenges, and project-based learning.

NASA’s Day of Design: Shooting Stars connects students to female scientists and engineers making an impact in space. This program is a series of virtual events designed to provide education and mentoring to young students about career possibilities at NASA.

Our first extraordinary guest speaker is Tessa Rundle, a space suit life support system engineer at NASA. Tessa teams up with STEMconnector CEO, Jo Webber FRSC in a short conversation where Tessa discusses her work on the NASA spacesuits, her favorite part about working at NASA, and the amazing career opportunities at NASA.

Following her presentation, Tessa will answer student questions from the following schools in the STEMconnector network: Newark Central High School, Weequahic High School, and Barringer High School.
