TCS & STEMconnector To Host Effectively Leveraging Public-Private Partnerships to Prepare People for the Future of Work Forum at FIU in DC on July 16th

On Tuesday, July 16th, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Florida International University (FIU), and STEMconnector are coming together to host a forum on Effectively Leveraging Public-Private Partnerships to Prepare People for the Future of Work at FIU in DC’s location.

This event aims to present and explore exceptional practices to engage stakeholders from the public and private sector in effective and impactful partnerships that are transforming outcomes in education. 

From 3:30-5:30PM, speakers will present specific examples of public-private partnerships (PPP) relevant to their expertise and share perspectives on the field at large.  The format of the event will engage audience members in order to enhance an understanding of specific partnership models and will provide national context for this work.  Focus will be on models impacting students in K-12, higher education and adult learners. A networking reception will follow the event on FIU in DC’s rooftop terrace until 7:30PM,  featuring panoramic views of Washington DC’s monuments and the Capitol!

Speakers include Dr. Mark B. Rosenberg (President of Florida International University); Balaji Ganapathy (Head of Workforce Effectiveness, TCS); Melissa Perilstein, Chief of Staff for the Edison, New Jersey Mayor;  Dr. Carol O’Donnell (Director, Smithsonian Science Education Center); and Dr. Jeff Weld (Senior Advisor, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy).

Industry, higher education, K-12 education and the public sector 

Stakeholders from the public and private sector, who share a passion for developing talent with trans-disciplinary capabilities in computational thinking, digital fluency, innovation excellence, employability skills and technical skills as well as, increase access, equity and inclusion to opportunities in this new world of work, are encouraged to attend.
