As the school year ends and the #SummerOfSTEM gets going, Million Women Mentors will be hosting the next Twitter Chat in our #BeyondTheBuzzChat series on Thursday, June 13th at 3PM ET to discuss the fun and exciting summer programs, camps, and other resources that help prevent summer learning loss for girls in STEM.
But finding these summer learning opportunities can often be a difficult process for parents and students, with so many to sort through that are the right fit, friendly on the budget, and have a proven track record of creating lasting STEM interest.
This discussion is a continuation of MWM’s broader Beyond The Buzzword campaign, which seeks to move others beyond simply supporting STEM’s many buzzwords, and show what it takes to actually do them and make an impact. In our first two #BeyondtheBuzzChat Twitter Chats this year, we discussed the broader implications of mentoring, as well as how companies are measuring the impacts of their investments in women.
All are strongly encouraged to join in on the Twitter Chat, and we’ll also have some featured experts who provide hands-on STEM projects and career exploration for girls during the summer, including @BlackGirlsCode, @AlliantEnergy, @EducationWorks, @vickijjasper from @PepsiCo, and @ScienceBuddies!
